What is STD Screening?
Every sexual encounter you have can put you at risk of acquiring a sexually transmitted disease. The good news is that a lot of sexually transmitted diseases are easily treatable.
Every sexual encounter you have can put you at risk of acquiring a sexually transmitted disease. The good news is that a lot of sexually transmitted diseases are easily treatable.
A full std screening will include a pelvic examination (like a smear test) during which swabs will be taken for culture. A blood test will also be taken for some viral diseases like HIV and hepatitis.
The appointment will take about 20-30 minutes and you can ask all your questions regarding safe sex and the consequences of std.
